- On the templates tab there are templates to download for just about every need.
- Office 365 is now available to run all programs from the cloud.
- Watch tutorials of Word, Power Point, and Excel
- From the Images tab you can download just about any image needed for a presentation or document.

- The Network and Mentoring Tab will teach you how to bridge from college to your career.
- The Resources tab has a list of competitions and a very interesting etiquette video. Hmm.
- The Societies tab lists the different societies a COMM major might want to join.
- The Departments tab list all of the departments in the College of Business and Communication

- This link leads to MY graduation plan!
- It shows me the plan or course I am currently on, and where I am going, and when I plan to graduate.
- It’s easy to rearrange, add, or delete classes from the grad plan. Just click on a course and drag it to your plan.
- If you mess up, and don’t have enough credits or not the correct credits in plan, there will be a red notification in the box on the right. I do not know this from experience, however, It was told to me.
- The grad planner makes it easy to see how many creditsI have, and how many I still need, even in specific areas.
Website of the Week for October 31, 2013:
The American Advertising Federation‘s (AAF) website was this week’s Website of the Week. The AFF is the nation’s oldest advertising trade association.
- They promote multiculturalism. There is a whole section on the blog that teaches about the ethics and skills of diversity in advertising.
- They promote educating the next generation of advertisers by sponsoring over 200 chapters nationwide, to help students make a smooth transition from college to the professional world in Advertising.
- They have launched a cool new leadership website: Thought Leadership.
- On the Award tab you can view advertisements that have won awards. Cool!

The AAF protects and promotes advertising at all levels of government through grassroots activities.
Our nationwide network monitors advertising-related legislation on local, state and federal levels. We put our members face to face with influential lawmakers. We also encourage industry self-regulation as a preemptor to government intervention, when appropriate.

- You can learn about internships and jobs.
- You can find a list of Job and scholarship opportunities.
- You can broaden your network by linking with other PR students and professionals.
- You can get involved with your local Chapter by linking to them through the site.
- You can enhance your education by finding information for a term paper, or by finding a degree program that’s right for you.

Job Interview Questions is a great place to go when you need practice with interview scenarios. Here are some of my favorite features:
- The Job Interview – everything you need to know about the interview, including types of interviews, formats, tips, and guides.
- Questions and Answers – gives both the interviewee and interviewer lists of questions that could be asked in an interview, and provides suggestions for competent answers.
- Job Specific Questions – focuses on question for specific job fields.
- Resource for Letter and Resume Writing – great tools for someone looking to polish up their resume, or learn to write effective letters.
- Job Change- gives in-depth instructions, tips, and suggestions for how to transition from one job to another.
Websites of the Week for October 10, 2013:
- Photoshopworld sounds fantastic! It’s a show put on in Las Vegas once a year, and Sister Esplin takes 20 students to learn the latest from Photoshop.
- BYU-I PhotoGraphics is a site to showcase photos from the BYU-I PhotoGraphics society. Neat!
- For some really amazing student sample websites visit BYU-I Website Samples. I am in awe!
- BYU-I Dean’s Pic’s Dean Robin Bergstrom chooses the photos on this blog. Some really fun – and really great photos. It would be such an honor to have something of mine chosen one day!

Associated Press is the Website of the Week for October 3, 2013
I was a bit confused by this at first, thinking I’d see all kinds of news stories here. However, after searching the site, I found an amazing resource for journalists!
- AP Images has millions of photographic of images to pull for articles. This would be a fantastic subscription for me!
- Footage.net has preview clips from AP Archive that are available for viewing through Footage.net’s stock footage search and screening platform.
- AP has mobile apps for Android and Apple products!
- If you have a news tip you can contact on of their news bureaus or agencies. Wow, that’s cool.
- For business customers, there all many resources for any type of need. One of my favorites was AP Audio. Check it out!

- You can watch commercials made by Soapbox! I loved these the best. Really inspired me.
- All kinds of news available, from local to world.
- There are polls and quizzes. Fun!
- You can access recent Graduation.
- I especially liked the photography page. Maybe something to look into.
Personal Branding 101 is the Website of the Week for 19 September 2013
- A QR Code is a 2-dimensional “quick response” bar code that contains a set of data such as text, numbers, or a hyperlink.
- QR codes are read by decoder app from a smart phone, and can link to any website you choose.
- Add a QR to your resume for quick access to an online resume or “About Me” section.
- Use a QR code on your business card to link to your contact information.
- Using QR codes will make you stand out!
